ReplyDeleteWe also bought a Kozy Karrier mei tai for the little one as well.
I still want to get a ring sling somewhere, but don't know where. The ones sold at Metro Minis are too pricey for me, though I love them for pretty much everything else.
I Love this one! Can't wait to try it out!!
ReplyDeleteI used my Didymos Aqua waves that was turned into a gathered shoulder ring sling all the time with my littlest one, as well as a pouch from cabinbaby.com.
ReplyDeleteMy Ellaroo was great too, but once I got on TBW I wanted about 20 different wraps :-). Buying on there quarantees a super sweet price on the best wraps/ring slings ever. For anyone wanting a ring sling, wraps make the best ones IMO.
I used (tear, sniff) an Over the Shoulder Baby Holder for my two girls. If I had a baby today I would use this style wrap- I have a friend who makes them so I could pick out whatever kind of fabric I like :)
ReplyDeleteYou will love the moby, especially for when the baby is teeny tiny. It is like the baby is still in utero... hands free and your little one will love it. It takes some getting used to the first few times you wrap it around yourself since they are so big.

I just bought a third sling that I'm loving... www.slinglings.com. It is a pouch and I usually love the ring slings, but this one is terrific.
And of course, an ergo or mei tai is essential :-)
I used a wise woman sling the last time which is a ring sling with a deep pouch. I'm planning to make one or two this time around.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE my moby wrap. I have three other baby carriers... I have two side slings, one by infantino and one by hugamonkey. I also have a front/back carrier by infantino. All three of those were presents from friends/family. I hated both the infantino ones and the hugamonkey one worked well while my son was an newborn. However, I wanted something I could use for a long time, so I bought the moby... and it is the best purchase I have made in regards to baby gear.

ReplyDeleteI used a black moby for the first few months, then used an EllaRoo wrap and a Babyhawk. Around 18 months I switched to a Didy aqua silk waves which is just heavenly. Now, at 2.5, we almost exclusively use an Ergo. I am thinking about getting a custom Bloo Kangaroo, though.
I've been using the Sleepy Wrap with my 2-month-old little girl, since her first week. It's a lot like the Moby and she loves it! I also use a pouch sling for shorter stints, but the Sleepy Wrap is way more comfortable. Now that she's getting bigger I want to branch out - I'm thinking a mai tei or Ergo, and maybe a ring sling - I'm loving all the suggestions here!
ReplyDeletei have the moby as well, i was going to get the same color but they were out. i got red instead. the moby was great! i recently got the baby hawk. its still abit big for my 1 year old and i dont like that i cant have her face forward. but it is pretty comfortable. btw i was the one who won the eames chair rocker print a few months ago, but i lost touch of the seller because my email got deleted and i moved. if you still keep contact with him please send him my new email. thank you!
ReplyDeletei used an aka pipik sling with ché till he was about 18months...now he just toddles everywhere or gets pushed along on his little bike. Next bubby I'll get a moby and i do like the look of the sakura bloom slings. have you used one of them?
